A healing series focusing on reconnecting with your ‘deep core’,
the centre of yourself, physically and mentally.
Build and expand on foundations of postnatal recovery and daily well-being as a new mama through mindful, soulful postnatal yoga
Because postpartum and early motherhood can be highly disorienting.
A time where you might feel like you’ve lost (sight of) your core, pulled away from who you were (are), your body like it’s been changed forever.
This series will focus on reconnecting with the midline of the body, from the base (pelvic floor), middle (abdominals and back) all the way to the heart and mind.
An opportunity to:
reconnect with your body after birth
gradually rebuild strength in your abdominals, pelvic floor and back muscles
regain balance and better posture
address tension and discomfort in the upper body (back shoulders and neck), so in demand in early motherhood
find some calm, ease, and (regain) an ability to rest and replenish
ultimately, restore a sense of self and well-being, which we can so easily lose in early motherhood
What it will look like:
Each week will focus on a particular theme / aspect of the midline, and will build on each other week after week.
Each session will include several movement sequences, a breathing practice and a relaxation practice, which can each be done in their own right.
This will enable you to break down the practice into short ‘snacks’ to suit your mama life (and what time is available at the time).
The series will focus on mums only (no baby yoga included) but can be done with or without your baby around.
Who is it for?
Suitable from 6 weeks post-birth, including after Caesarean birth.
Absolutely accessible to beginners
If you have been diagnosed with abdominal separation (diastasis recti), you might find the practices covered especially supportive to help you on your healing journey.
Spaces limited to 15 mums, so that I can offer you some personal attention and answer any questions you may have.
